The Bennington Triangle in Vermont is a triangulated area centered around Glastenbury Mountain. The area is a hotspot for reportings of paranormal activity and other unexplainable events. Urban legends dating back to precolonial times claim the land is cursed.

In a five-year period spanning from 1945 to 1950, five people mysteriously disappeared from this area. This is an abnormal rate of disappearances for this area, considering the towns encapsulated in the triangle are mostly ghost towns. The disappearances showed no evidence of a connection except that they all seemed to happen instantaneously, occurred in the winter, and left behind no evidence. It is like these five people simply vanished into thin air.

Middie Rivers

Middie Rivers disappeared in November 1945. Middie was an avid hunter and experienced outdoorsman. He was out with a group of hunters on the day he disappeared. On the group's way back to camp, Middie pulled ahead of everyone. Although they found it strange that he was so eager to get back to camp, they were not worried about him. He knew his way around these woods like the back of his hand.
